Modification of structure and surface properties of implanted boron nitride

    Abstract

    Investigations were carried out into the modification of the structure and properties of boron nitride after implanting ions of C, B, Li, Al, Mo and W. The most marked changes in the structure and electroconductivity were detected after implanting Li and C. The mechanism of electrotransfer in the modified coating with T = 700-800 K changes from jump to activation. Heat treatment can be used to control the resistance in the range 1016-104 ohm.
