Modern opportunities of radionuclide methods for diagnosis of inflammatory processes in the myocardium

Abstract

The review is devoted to the radionuclide diagnostics of inflammatory processes in the myocardium. The work briefly describes the main radiopharmaceuticals proposed for visualization of inflammation in cardiology, compares their scintigraphic characteristics, parameters of sensitivity and specificity. The authors discuss unsolved problems, as well as the prospects of nuclear medicine in terms of diagnosing inflammatory diseases. Literature was searched using electronic bibliographic databases, such as Medline, PubMed, E-library.
