Microwave nanosecond-pulse-shaping device with laser-triggered switch discharge

Abstract

Microwave pulses with a duration of 5 ns, amplitude instability below 2%, and a peak power ranging from 5 to 15 MW are obtained. The time jitter between the triggering laser pulses and shaped microwave pulses is within 0.6 ns.
