Mesonic bound states in the c c̄ spectrum

Abstract

We report on evidence for heavy meson molecules in the charmonium spectrum and consider the Y(3940), Y(4140) and Z±(4430) as bound states of open charm mesons. In particular, the Y(3940) is considered to be a superposition of D*+ D*- and D*0 D*0. while the Y(4140) is a bound state of D*+ s and D*- s mesons. For the charged Z± meson we use the interpretation of a ̄ D̄ 1D* molecular state. In the present work we study the observed unusually large hidden-charm decay modes and give predictions for the radiative decays.
