MEGAVOLT WATER-FILLED TRIGATRON-TYPE SPARK GAPS.

Abstract

The results are given of experiments on finding the optimal conditions for the stable firing of a trigatron with water insulation. A rms deviation of 6 nsec was obtained for the delay time of the spark gap. It is shown that commutation over four to six channels of a six-channel trigatron shortens the leading edge of the output pulse by 10 to 15% and increases its amplitude.
