Abstract

A study was performed to measure the positron production efficiency from a tungsten monocrystalline target by using 4-GeV and 8-GeV electrons. The positron-production yield were measured with a magentic spectrometer in the positron momentum range from 5 MeV/c to 20 MeV/c. The results showed that the enhancements of the positron yield from crystal targets with respect to amorphous targets.
