Abstract
A procedure is developed for measuring the degree of linear polarization of coherent electron bremsstrahlung according to the integral characteristics of the angular distribution of one of the particles of an electron-positron pair produced in the converter of a pair magnetic spectrometer. The experimental data are compared with the calculated results for the theory of coherent bremsstrahlung for a photon-to-electron energy ratio of less than equivalent to 0. 15. Although the calculated and experimental results agree within the error limits, the calculated values tend to be lower.
