Abstract
A method of measuring the linear displacements of a short-circuited coil coupled to the object being monitored, based on the dependence of the phase of the induced voltage of a transfer eddy-current transducer with a traveling magnetic field on the position of the coil is described. It is shown that it is possible to use the method to measure the level of liquids and of free-flowing materials.
