Calculated formulae have been presented to solve the three-dimensional reverse problem of the reconstruction of a thermal flow, using temperature values of the heated surface of a plate infinitely extended in the lateral direction. Analytical solutions obtained earlier have been numerically investigated for the case, when the thermal flow is uniform along the heated surface. It has been shown that the use of smoothing splines and algorithms with no different temperature values increases the accuracy of such a reconstruction.
