Maximum Grüneisen constants for polymorph transformations in crystals

Abstract

An analysis of the polymorph transformations in sodium cyanide (NaCN), rubidium cyanide (RbCN), and copper chloride (CuCl) crystals shows that the Grüneisen constants for these structural transformations can reach a limiting value of γmax ≃ 4.5.
