Abstract

An installation is described for the mass-spectrometric analysis of the plasma of a high-frequency jet discharge ″contaminated″ with the gaseous products of the breakdown of solid polymers. The sampling of components from the discharge zone into the ion source of the mass spectrometer at a pressure of 100-500 torr occurs in the form of a molecular beam formed by a differential pumping system. The plasma components are analyzed in an MSKh-4 transit-time mass spectrometer.
