Abstract
Studies of the deactivation of the electronic excitation energy of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of two new rhodamines are reported. The main attention is devoted to the establishment of the relation between the structure of multilayer LB films and their luminescent properties. The experimental results are analyzed using quantum-mechanical calculations.
