Abstract

Experimental investigations of process of synthesis of cordierite in charge materials based on clay and magnesia raw materials. Opportunity for activation of the raw materials from deposits in Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo regions, utilized for manufacturing the refractory products has been studied. Activation of the materials is provided by means of treatment in vibratory centrifugal mill. Simultaneous action of the following two factors: mechanical-chemical activation and introducing the additive facilitating the structure formation makes it possible to reduce temperature of synthesis and provide completeness of synthesis.
