Losses in Gas-Discharge Commutators of Microwave Compressors with Energy Release through the Interference Switch

Abstract

Results of experimental studies of losses in gas-discharge commutators of resonance microwave compressors that release energy through the interference switch are presented. It is found that losses in the air- and argon-filled commutators concerned with energy release are no lower than 5 and no higher than 3 dB, which decreases the compressor gain by 3-4 and 1-2 dB, respectively.
