Large-scale vortex structures in intensively swirling flows

Abstract

The results of experimental and theoretical investigations of large-scale vortex structures formed in intensively swirling liquid flows are presented. Phenomenon of transition from the right-hand symmetry to the left-hand one in stationary helical vortex is first predicted and discovered in experiment.
