Abstract

Experimental results show that the isopiestic method enables one to evaluate the hygroscopicity of a product and at the same time to obtain fairly accurate salt solubilities and vapor pressures over the solutions. There is also shown to be a relationship between the solubility diagrams for the salts and the water-vapor sorption isotherms for salts containing impurities.
