Abstract
The authors describe how the strength of ceramics can be increased by the magnetic treatment of input materials both in the form of aqueous mixes and shaped specimens. Depending on the specimen position in the magnetic field, the duration of the magnetic treatment and the firing regime, strength increases of up to a factor of 1.6 were observed.
