Abstract

The results of an investigation of the structure of the electromagnetic field in the region of the focal point, and the frequency properties of an amplitude Fresnel-zone plate in the millimeter region of the spectrum are presented. It is shown that the zone plate retains its focusing ability over a wide range of frequencies ( plus or minus 20%).
