Abstract
X-ray structure analysis and positron annihilation were used in an investigation of polycrystalline mesographite pyrolytic boron nitride. Changes in the lattice period c were used to calculate the approximate dimensions of the loosely packed layers between grains. Estimates were obtained of the phenomenological annihilation parameters. These parameters were then used as the basis for suggesting that positronium states are localized in intergranular pores and to determine the size of these pores.
