Initation of FTDO/DNAP crystallized mixes by Nd: YAG laser

Abstract

Initiation of crystallized mixes of furazanotetrazine-dioxide (FTDO) and dinitrodiazapentane (DNAP) via use of pulsed Nd:YAG laser has been studied. The data on the threshold specific density of initiation energy for the mixes of different compositions (FTDO/DNAP 49/51 and 65/35) have been obtained. The data on laser initiation thresholds correlate qualitatively with the results of the combustion stability study for the mixes investigated.
