Abstract
The heat treatment of peat at 250°C in the medium of gases of its decomposition was studied using acid hydrolysis and thermoanalysis techniques. The samples of humic acids were extracted from initial and preheated at 250°C peat of the Tomsk region deposits. It is shown that the heat treatment results in increasing thermal stability of humic acids mainly due to changes in the composition and structure of a peripheral part of macromolecule.
