Abstract
The problem about solid ignition by a thermal flux through a detached barrier is analyzed in the simplest statement. An approximate analytical solution is obtained. The solution shows that the solid ignition time dependence (with a gaseous reaction product), becomes nonmonotonic one if the barrier thickness is small. The qualitative conclusions are in good agreement with the numerical calculation ones.
