A description is given of a high-voltage pulse source designed for testing the multipulse electrical strength of dielectrics. The source is constructed in the form of a three-stage pulsed voltage generator consisting of a voltage multiplication circuit with primary windings incorporated by two pulse transformers into the interstage discharges of the generator. The capacitor banks of the generator are charged through a current-limiting throttle. The generator is of ladder type with autonomous insulation of each stage from the grounded bus.
