High resolution vibrational-rotational spectrum of H2S in the region of the v2 fundamental band

Abstract

The high resolution infrared spectrum of H2S has been recorded on a Fourier transform spectrometer Bruker IFS 120 HR in the region of the fundamental band v2 with an instrumental resolution of about 0.0020 cm-1. Lines have been assigned to the v2 bands of the isotopic species H2 32S, H2 34S, and H2 33S and in addition to the hot band 2v2 - v2 of H2 32S. In the case of the fundamental band of H2 32S, 226 upper state energy levels with Jmax = 17 were obtained and fitted with a standard deviation of 9.96 × 10-5 cm-1. For H2 34S, 126 energy levels with Jmax = 14 were obtained, and for H2 33S, 57 lines could be assigned,
