High pulse repetition rate CuBr-laser

Abstract

An experimental study is conducted showing that high pulse repetition rate (PRR) regime can be realized in CuBr laser with typical gas discharge tube (GDT) diameters larger than 15-20 mm. The output power 4 watt was obtained from the GDT diameter 20 mm, length 800 mm at the 100 kHz. The maximum laser PRR attained was 300 kHz for a 14 mm aperture tube, with the optimal pump PRR being 100 kHz for that tube.
