Abstract
The construction of a high-current accelerator with electron energy up to 400 keV and beam current up to 5 kA is described. The pulse duration is regulated in the range 5-150 nsec, the maximum repetition frequency is 10 pulses/min, the triggering accuracy is 5 nsec. The pulsed-voltage generator is based on the Arkadiev-Marx circuit and employs Kl5-4 ceramic capacitors. The accelerator is intended for the investigation of rapid processes in solids, in gas, and in vacuum.
