Abstract

The heavy-ion accelerator described in the paper is based on explosive-emission plasma. The accelerator contains a generator of high-voltage bipolar voltage pulses and a planar diode with an interchangeable potential electrode. Singly and multiply charged Al and Fe ions were obtained with an energy (relative to the charge) of 200-400 kev, which is equal to the average accelerating voltage.
