N2 - Spectranalysis was used to investigate the distribution of IV-V and VII-VIII transition metals Ti, Zr, V, Ta, Mn, Fe, Ni and Ir in commercial and experimental molybdenum alloys ZM6, ZM2A, TSM3, TSM4, Mo-Ta-C, Mo-Ta-Fe-C, Mo-Ta-Ni-C, Mo-V-Ni-C, Mo-Mn, Mo-Mn-Fe-Ni, Mo-Ir-C and MS. The link between adsorption and heat treatment is investigated and the temperature ranges of adsorption and phase effects distinguished. The limits of the MacLean and Guttman models are established.
