Abstract
The distribution of gold in rocks and minerals from gabbro-granite intrusions from the Middle-Upper Palaeozoic orogenic period was examined. Bodies with low and increased parameters of gold distribution in the constituent rocks and minerals were discovered within the sub-alkaline and alkaline intrusives where the Au-bearing minerals in the alkaline rocks are feldspars. Sphene, zircon, pyrite and more rarely, magnetite also concentrate Au. Different average metal contents are connected with different stages of orogenic and post-orogenic activation and the formation of sub-platform intrusions. The post-orogenic alkaline intrusions with increased parameters of Au distribution may be associated with productive mineralization. -P.C.
