Abstract
The authors calculated the plasma radiation of 1.5 MA wire array implosion and found that plasma radiation yield should be sufficient for 1-2 cm-1 gain in the pumped plasma. Preliminary experiments were performed with the GIT-4 inductive storage machine. Diameter radiation scaling was carried out when the mr2 = cons condition was fulfilled. A comparative study of experimental and calculation results shows that pumping line yield is sufficient for inverse density creation (approximately 109 Wt from one centimeter of liner).
