Abstract

Presented in this paper are the results of the experiments with Ar gas-puff on the inductive storage generator GIT-4 (1.2 MJ). A single shell gas-puff and double shell gas-puff were used. Implosion of gas-puff was monitored by the following diagnostics: filtered x-ray diodes, optic streak camera, and time integrated x-ray pinhole camera. It was shown that in the case of double gas-puff power and energy of Ar K-shell emission increase from 1.10 10W to 2.2 10 10W and from 190 J to 350 J accordingly, power of soft x-ray emission increase insufficiently.
