Abstract
The data from measurement of γ-ray emission produced by 900 MeV electrons incident onto a 0.35 mm thick diamond crystal are presented. The obtained spectral and orientational characteristics of γ-ray yield show that the low-energy radiation is associated with the channelling of electrons. The spectra measured for electrons channelled along the 〈110〉 axis of diamond exhibit a sharp increase in γ-ray yield at ω < 150 MeV with the intensity peak by factor of 50-60 higher as compared with the "random" transmission of electron beam.
