Abstract
The efficiency of F-center formation has been studied as a function of the chemical composition of KC1-KBr solid solutions at room temperature, with ionizing-radiation doses corresponding to the linear stage of the kinetic curve, and at liquid-nitrogen temperature. A qualitative correspondence is found between the composition dependences of the efficiency of F-center formation at room and low temperatures. It is concluded that the fundamental properties of the solid solutions are primarily responsible for the composition dependence of the F-center concentration.
