Abstract
The construction of a shunt made of foil having a high resistivity for measurement of currents having a growth rate of 10**1**0 to 10**1**4 amp/sec and an amplitude of 10**2 to 10**6 amp is described. Formulas are given for determining the geometric dimensions of the shunt. Experimental data is presented on determining the bandwidth of such a shunt at a current of about 500 amp having a rise time about 1 nsec.
