Field Theory of a Viscoelastic Medium Subjected to a Phase Transition

Abstract

Evolution of a medium, which is subjected to the transition of crystallisation, martensitic type and so on, is realised as the interaction of a Higgs field, that describes a reconstruction of atomic system (transformation of potential relief), and a gauge field of displacements. It is shown, that the soliton type distribution of the fields is connected with one- and two-dimensional defects. The conditions of the existence of defects are analyzed.
