Abstract
Phase and chemical composition of nanopowders produced by electric explosion of Al and Ti wires in the hexamethylenetetramine-decane suspension has been studied. Aluminum nitride and carbide, and titanium carbide, respectively, were detected as the final products of explosive interaction of the wires with environment. It is shown that at some chemical compounds existence with the like values of upper temperature boundaries of stability, an electric explosion method allows to produce fine powders of complex phase and chemical composition.
