Fabrication of molybdenum nanopowders by electrical explosion of wires

Abstract

Molybdenum nanopowders were produced by the method of electrical explosion of wires. The characteristics of obtained nanopowders were investigated. Controlling factors were electrical parameters (the energy input in wire before explosion and the arc stage of electrical discharge) and composition of working gases in the explosive chamber. The factors are stated that make for increasing the dispersiveness of nanopowders.
