Abstract
The current day energy scenario illustrates obviously, the huge potential demand for providing electricity to isolated areas can be met straightforwardly by using the standalone hybrid systems. The hybrid between renewable energies including solar, wind, and hydro energy with traditional methods like diesel generators can increase the reliability of self-sufficient electric power supply for remote regions. The objective of this paper is to study and understand the behavior of an Asynchronous Generator Based Wind Turbine (AGBWT) that coupled with the synchronous condenser in an isolated network. This study will include also analyzing impacts of wind speed penetration on the frequency and voltage profile of the entire system.
