Energy dissipation and metals disintegration under electric conductors explosion

Abstract

Electric explosion of conductors provides the action of high density power on metals. The processes occurring in metals under the electric energy deposition with a high density of power (≥1014 W/m3) have been analyzed. It is proposed to estimate a degree of nonequilibrium of the energy dissipation processes on difference in the actual metal temperature and the temperature calculated on Joule's law.
