Elite engineering education programme development based on CDIO standarts

Abstract

The article describes the experience of modernizing the Elite Engineering Education Programme (EEEP) at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) in accordance with the CDIO (Conceive - Design - Implement - Operate) standards, which resulted in introduction of new academic disciplines in the programme, as well as implementation of project-organized learning and educational game components in most of the programme's disciplines. Further attention is given to the implementation of the CDIO concept outside the EEEP curriculum in the form of events aimed at shaping students' person-centered environment.
