Electron irradiation effect on the thermophysical properties of polytetrafluoroethylene

The aim of the paper is to investigate the electron irradiation effect on the complex of thermophysical properties of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in the temperature range of 80-330 K. Experimental curves of the temperature and dose dependences of the PTFE heat conduction, heat capacity and temperature conductivity are presented. It is noted that the PTFE heat conduction and temperature conductivity are increased in the dose range of 0.04-1 MGy and are decreased at higher doses. The most substantial variations are observed at the low temperature and in the range of phase transformations.
