Electromagnetic radiation in layered rocks under acoustic action

Electromagnetic emission is one of information channels which make it possible to evaluate variation of stressed-strained state of rock mass. In connection with this, investigations of parameters of electromagnetic signal arisen under acoustic action on layered rocks have been performed. Results of the investigations have been presented. It has been shown that in spectrum of the electromagnetic signal, maxima can arise, which are conditioned by beats in case of close frequency composition. The obtained data and their analysis confirm the fact of resonant oscillation mechanism of arising the electromagnetic signal.
