Electromagnetic compaction of permanent magnets from powder fractions oriented in a magnetic field

Abstract

The development of a new generation of compaction equipment is considered, as well as of magnetic systems based on the direct action linear electromagnetic motor [1] with various configuration of the orienting magnetic field for compaction of permanent magnets from powder fractions. The development of electromagnetic presses (EMP) broadens the product range of magnets as concerns types, sizes and spatial configuration of the axes of magnetizing domains. At the same time the specific metal content of presses is cut significantly.
