Electroerosive production of coating material in a coaxial magnetic-plasma accelerator

Abstract

The basic laws of electrical surface erosion in the accelerating channel of a coaxial magneticplasma accelerator for the production of coating material have been established. The total eroded mass increases quadratically with increase in the energy supplied to the accelerator. The possibility of applying a stainless-steel coating to various metal surfaces is demonstrated.
