Electrical explosive synthesis of ultrafine powder of alloys and intermetallic compounds

Abstract

Phase chemical composition of ultrafine powders obtained by joint electrical explosion of aluminium and copper wires were studied. Particles of ultrafine powders are not phase-homogeneous, surface of particles are enriched by more refractory component. Yield of forming in this explosion conditions intermetallic compounds Cu9Al4 and CuAl2 depends on conditions of powder manufacturing.
