The effect of neutron irradiation on the elastic properties of steatite dielectric ceramics was studied. The thermal dependencies of the elastic properties of the material were also studied. The resonance method was used, requiring a piezoelectric vibrator. The results indicate that the modulus of elasticity decreases after exposure. Poisson's ratio also decreases with irradiation. Neither of the changes was larger than 7.5%; polymorphic transformations do not occur in the ceramic dielectrics.
