    Abstract

    The peculiarities of the broadening of rotational transitions of molecules in the case where the spectrum exhibits a hyperfine structure caused by the nuclear quadrupole interaction are considered. The relaxation parameters of the components of a number of hyperfine multiplets of CH3I molecules are calculated taking into account self-broadening, and calculations are compared with experiment.
