Abstract
General expressions are found for the voltage distribution in a coronating gap and for the damping of a coronal discharge in a coaxial system containing a low-concentration disperse phase through a solution of the Poisson equation. The results are used to analyze particular cases found in electron-ion devices, and distinguishing features of a bipolar corona are pointed out.
