N2 - This paper substantiates the need for a dynamic assessment of the students' competencies, which includes 3 components: knowledge, skills and abilities. For the construction of the dynamic assessment we propose for the first time to use dynamic cognitive graphic tools 2-simplex prisms. Basic concepts and theoretical foundations of building a 2-simplex prism are given. To render each of the competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities) we use cognitive graphic tool 2-simplex prism. The proposed cognitive graphic tools to display the dynamics for each component of competencies as well as for the final assessment allow visualizing changes in each component's value over the predetermined time intervals during the training period. The developed cognitive graphic tools allow visually observing the dynamics of change in priorities between the three above-mentioned components of competencies. This will encourage students to choose one of the following career paths: scientific research, engineering, management. The research results are shown and further perspectives are outlined.
