Abstract
Statistical and combined dynamic-statistical approaches to simulating the fission of excited nuclei are compared. It is shown that in the statistical approach, the complete suppression of the fission process during time τS does not result in double consideration of the emission of light particles. The importance of dynamic simulation of fission at the stage of relaxation of fission rate Rf(t) to its quasistationary value is demonstrated.
